Who’s Calling

Yahway says to Abram: "Go to the land I will show you [12:1].

 

Margaret wrote: "Because Abram would also have known this as the Being which created everything he knew?"
The Bible is so seeringly honest:

Abram hears a voice tell him: "Go ... ."
He does not know who is calling him.

When I was moved to go live in Israel
perhaps it would have been way more honest and healthy
for me to know
that I did not know who was calling me.

The narrator of the Bible tells we readers what Abram does not know: that it is Lord Yahway [12:1] who calls Abram.

Perhaps only after we discover how fruitful a call is
can we know
our call is from a very fruitful and multiplying force.
