When
Abram first enters the promised land he stops by big oak trees. There he “sees”
Lord Yahway who says, “to your seed I will give this land” [12:7].
I wonder what Abram sees.
Later in his life Lord Yahway appears to Abram and eats with him before promising that Sarah will have a child.
So it is not unusual for Abram to see Lord Yahway.
I like to think that everything we see and hear is divine. Abram helps humanity make the breakthrough to see and hear divinity here, there and eventually everywhere
