To All Our Families On Earth
Abraham's Calling
Dear Offspring,
Call me, Abraham.
I am father of over 2 billion Christians, over one-and-a- half billion
Muslims, and over 3,500 years of Jews.
You think you have problems with your family.
You might be wondering how someone so ancient can speak
with you.
I have been blessed by one of my offspring who is
channeling me.
I’ll let him tell you how he was drawn to me.

I, Michael Koran, was a student at the University of
Chicago.
Our goal was “to live the life of the mind.” Our famous chancellor, Robert Hutchins, said
that when he felt the urge to exercise, he lay down until it passed.”
My body feels very lonely living the life of the mind.
So I ask a divinity school student, who looks as lonely as
I am, to go for a walk with me. When we
return to her small apartment, she asks me, “Would you like to come in?”
When we walk in, she sits on a couch facing a bookshelf. I seem to have no choice but to sit beside
her. I freeze. And then I hear an inner voice command, “Hold her hand!” I tell
her, “My inner voice just commanded me to hold your hand.”
She offers me her hand and we hold hands.
After 5 minutes of silence she tells me, “God might have
been speaking to you.”
I say, “Thanks. I’d
rather be a man with a direct line to God, than a lonely boy talking to
himself.”
She takes a book from her bookshelf and puts it in my
hand. I read the first three words of
the title out loud: “Fear and Trembling”.
She says, “The writer, Soren Kierkegaard, shows how Abraham
spread God’s blessings through the world.
Even when God tells Abraham to sacrifice his son, Abraham does what his
inner voice commands.”
I say, “I’ll go home and read about fear and trembling.”

“Fear and Trembling”
moved me to read your story, Dear Abraham, in the Bible.
God promises you that “all
families on earth will be blessed through you.” May I now channel you, so
you can reveal how we can all be blessed?
