I wonder if there is a connection between the Oak grove
Abram comes to in Canaan and the divinity he then sees who speaks these words:
"To your seed I will give this land" [12:7].
Could divinity appear as a great oak tree dropping acorns? After wandering in a desert is Abram moved to feel that he too could be rooted and fruitful in this new land?
A new friend suggests I call give the tree near my rooftop a name. I discover the tree's name is "Sophie." Hugging Sophie I feel rooted, healing, rough and tough love.
